ADMISSION CRITERIA

Approximately 450 students from 12 area high schools are chosen to enroll in the career progams at CTC each year.  These students will learn new skills that jump start their college careers or give them a head start in the workplace.  To be one of the chosen students please follow the admission criteria below:

Application Guidelines:

To enroll in a career and technical program at CTC, students may either contact their high school counselor for an application or download and print the application here.  Once complete, the application must be signed by the high school counselor and a parent/guardian.  Students attending private or home schools must enroll through the school district in which they live.

Selection Process:

Students who have missed ten days of school or less in an academic school year are given priority.  Students with more than ten absences will be expected to submit an attendance history with their application.

Students with less than two discipline referrals in an academic school year are given priority.  Students with more than two discipline referrals will be expected to submit a discipline history with their application.

Prospective students are also encouraged to take the Career Cluster Inventory on the Missouri Connections website and provide the results from the inventory on their application.
